Today is quite possibly the wettest day of the year so far, I had awesome plans for lots of photos outside for today's blog but it just has not stopped raining so I'll save that for the next one!

Todays blog is all about one of this seasons hottest trends - STRIPES! The beauty of this trend is that its sooooo easy to style and also very cheap! I don't know about the rest of you but this is the kind of trend I can get behind! 
Stripes can be dressed up or dressed down - I love a simple striped top with jeans, loafers and a blazer. Perfect for a day outfit! Or dress them up with a high waisted skirt and a pair if heels. So simple!

Welcome to my blog!! The very first one - I hope you enjoy the read.

So I will start by giving you 3 little facts about me -  you can probably skip this part :P

• I am a little closer to 30 than I would care to admit.
• I work full time and wish I had more time to do this - I love fashion and the dream is definitely to do this full time.
• I love a bargain - if you get anything from my blogs it will be how to pick up a bargain! My famous last words will definitely be "I got it in a sale online."

This introduction blog will be about my 5 current wardrobe staples. There are a few things that I think every girl needs and you can mix and match with pretty much anything! Please remember these are just my opinions, you are totally entitled to disagree!

1. The Simple Black Boots - granted mine are over a year old and need updated but I wear them with EVERYTHING! Coming into the Summer, these can be replaced by a pair of loafers. I got a beautiful monochrome pair in New Look before Christmas, they are featured on my Instagram.

2. The Black Leather Jacket - if you don't have one then get one! You can never go wrong throwing this over any cute outfit.

This is from River Island - it was bought last year but they always have a great range in stock however they can be a little pricey. Just a note, my first leather jacket was from Penny's/Primark and it lasted for like 4 years. Never underestimate the power of a bargain!

3. The Perfect Pair of Jeans - I have a black/charcoal pair and a regular blue pair. Between the 2 of them I wear them round the clock. The perfect pair of jeans can be worn with literally your whole wardrobe. If in doubt, throw on your skinnies!

4. A Pair of Nude Heels - I challenge you to find more than one outfit in your wardrobe that you cannot wear with nude heels. They are classic and a MUST HAVE.

I know you won't believe me when I tell you that these are from Penny's/Primark and cost me €12. BARGAIN!!

5. A Hat - Any kind you want, I have a Fedora and I love it! A hat totally trends up any outfit instantly. If you don't usually wear hats and are not totally confident wearing them then I suggest you start small and work your way up to the bigger ones. So start with a Bowler hat, they are smaller but still super trendy then work your way up. I have a burgundy Fedora but I absolutely adore the camel colour in them. I also love the floppy hats, so nice for summer!

So there you have it, these are the most  important items in my closet at the moment. I would be lost without them and if you follow me on Instagram you will probably see these all feature on the regular!
