SoSueMe Workshop - What a Day!

Morning Gorgeous!

I just wanted to share with everyone all about the SoSueMe workshop she held in the Mt. Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny, I think everyone will agree with me when I say it is about time she came up this way! She had mentioned on her Snapchat that she had to expand this workshop as there was so many people wanting to go, she has such a massive following up this way! There was even people who travelled from Athlone and Sligo to go to it. Dedicated fans!

- OOTD -
I'll go through my outfit firstly from the day - I really loved this whole outfit and sure any excuse to get my holiday tanned legs out! :P Dylan actually told me he liked my outfit at the meet and greet at the end, naturally I was chuffed...... and a little flustered! Lol!

I decided to dress down for the event, I had a midi skirt and heels picked too and on the day I thought this was the better choice. It was casual but very stylish and I just love these boots so I am literally wearing them with everything!
The skirt is my favourite and it fits so perfectly, this is going to be perfect for Winter with tights and a polo neck. Love the little blouse too, I am a sucker for mustard so when I seen it on sale I had to have it!

Blouse - River Island - €25 (Reduced from €40)

Skirt - H&M - €24.99

Gilet - New Look - €44.99

Boots - Penneys - €25

- The Workshop -
The room was laid out beautifully and the excitement walking in and seeing the SoSueMe goodie bag at each seat!

So the tickets were €75 which is a lot of money but I just could not pass up the chance to go as I was devastated I couldn't go to the one she did in Sligo as that was the closest workshop until now. Sue is the first blogger I really started to follow so since my little blog is only a few months old I thought it was perfect timing to go see her. It was definitely worth every penny though as she packed so much into the day it actually ran over the time it was scheduled to end.
On the day she had nail technicians available to paint any shade of SOSU nail polish you wanted free of charge which I thought was a nice touch. I didn't get mine done as I had Gel polish on from holidays but one of the girls with us had hers done. She also sold her polishes for a little cheaper at the event so that was a definite plus! They were 3 for €20 and of course I had to buy the 3 - if you are following me on Snapchat you would have seen the colours I bought which were 'I do', 'Boss Bitch' and the Top Coat. I already have 'Icing on the Cake' which is a fab colour too. She had her Crownbrush brush set and her book on sale on the day too.

The event started just after 11 and kicked off with Sue talking about how she got into blogging. It was quite humbling to hear her full story told by the woman herself. She then went on to talk about how SoSueMe was born, where the name came from and gave some tips on running a successful blog. She was incredibly honest while she talked about all this which was great, I didn't feel like she was just telling us what we wanted to hear. She held absolutely nothing back and it was incredibly refreshing! She spoke like she was just having a chat with you in the pub, very informal and natural.

There was a makeup demo done by makeup artist Sinead Murphy and questions answered throughout the demo. Sue done a tan demo on stage using the St. Moriz tan which was great as I've never used this tan before but will definitely be trying it.

We had afternoon tea at 1pm for a hour and it was FAB - little dinky fancy teacups, finger sandwiches and lots of little sweet treats! It was gorgeous!

After lunch there was a female fitness talk from Rob Lipsett, a run down of Sue's AW nail polish collection, a talk through her Crownbrush set, a section about wardrobe staples for coats and jackets which I loved and a fabulous Fashion Show! The fashion show had lots of gorgeous outfits from River Island, Coast, Karen Millen, H&M and more. She had put together everyday outfits right through to night outfits and everything in between. There was some fab outfits and if you had been following my Snapchat I posted lots of videos and pictures of the outfits. Sue's sister Carla did a lot of the modelling for the fashion show and the wardrobe staples section. I am not afraid to admit that she has one fantastic behind on her and anyone who denies they noticed is blatantly lying! Haha! Definitely an ass that every girl wants! That family has some damn good genes!!

The day ended with a meet and greet where Sue was taking pictures, chatting and signing books. We all queued up to talk to her, we were exhausted so I can only imagine how she was feeling but she never let it show. She took the time to talk to everyone and take lots of pictures. While we were on stage getting pictures she was just the sweetest person, she is stunning in real life and so friendly. She complimented me on my boots and was keen to hear what our favourite part of the day was! Dylan was on hand to take photos also and can I just say how lovely he is! Honestly he was so nice, they are seriously the nicest couple ever. Dylan was also on the nail station selling polish and I can't think of many boyfriends who would do that, he even helped me decided which colours to get. I mean where the hell did she get this guy?! She is one very lucky lady. (As am I because my boyfriend is equally amazing of course! Haha!)

The goodie bag then contained a bottle of St. Moriz tan, a Flormar lipstick, a no7 product, 2 essence products and a Crownbrush brush.

So stupidly I forgot to save all the photos I put on Snapchat so I can't share them here but hopefully you were following me so you got a look at the whole day first hand as I snapped LOADS!

So that is my review of the workshop! Overall it is definitely worth the €75 as there was so much packed in to the day and I took lots of notes on products to buy so keep an eye out for any new products coming up for review on the blog! As soon as pay day comes around that is! :P

Happy Thursday!

Sun, Sea and Sangria!

Morning Gorgeous!

Happy Saturday Guys! I am still in a state of sadness that my holiday is over so in order to cling on to it for dear life I am going to tell you all about it and all my outfits for the week. So I hope you enjoy :)

I will tell you a bit about the place we went to first - it was called Lloret De Mar in Spain. It was about 2 hours outside of Barcelona. I really liked the area but probably would not go back as I feel like I seen everything there is to see as it is quite small. It had a beach, bars and restaurants which was all we were looking for as we were looking for relaxation but if you wanted a really active holiday you might have been quite bored.
The apartments we stayed in were called Apartmentos Condado and I would definitely not recommend it. The apartment itself was fine - basic but more than we needed really. The issue was that the staff were terrible, we had to buy our own loo roll (seriously) and we had to clean the place ourselves before we left and they never provided cleaning products so we had to buy them. The pool area was amazing though - it was a rooftop pool and it was just gorgeous. The only downfall for us was that there was no bar by the pool and I know that sounds typically Irish but imagine lying by the pool with a jazzy cocktail which was all we were really looking for. We ended up lying at the beach with cocktails instead which was actually amazing as the beach was FAB!
So all in all - it was a great week but I would not go back to the same place.

So that is enough boring talk - on to the outfits!
The best part about the apartment was that it had a massive full length mirror so there were lots of outfit pics taken! I will split it into Day outfits and Night outfits so be sure to tell me your favourite!

Day Time

 - Bikinis -
I took like 5 bikinis with me but I only wore my 3 favourites. I do that all the time when I go on holidays, I end up wearing the same thing that I love over and over.

Bikini 1 - Valley Girl - Australia
I got this a few years ago while in Australia and haven't really had the chance to wear it, I love the pattern and style of this and it has straps that can be removed which is great. It is extremely comfortable also which is always a plus.

Bikini 2 - Penneys
I picked this up a few weeks before the holidays in Penneys, I can't remember what price it was but it was under €20 for both the top and bottom which is a bargain for a decent bikini. This one has removable straps also and has the cutest frill around both the top and the bottoms. And what about that pattern!!

Bikini 3 - H&M
So this is my favourite one, it is so flattering for a smaller frame and smaller bust which is perfect for me. The tassels and the pattern are just everything!

Sunnies - H&M
Kimono - Boohoo (Last Year)
Sandals - Missguided
Hat - Penneys

- Outfits -

So these are a few of my day outfits when we were not lying on the beach or by the pool which was not very often!

So that is all the day outfits done - they were very casual and simple, nothing too flashy. Also, I just want to point out the sandals I am wearing in every photo - they are from Missguided and I bought them last minute on sale and I literally never took them off the whole week. They are the most comfortable pair of sandals I have ever bought, we walked loads every day and there was not a blister in sight with these!

Night Time

So on to the night outfits - I didn't take any heels with me as I knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking at night also and I wanted to be comfortable. I took one pair of low chunky heels but I only wore them once when I knew we weren't going far. I think comfort is the most important thing in shoes while on holiday as you do so much walking.

So that is all my night outfits, I hope you like them! I'm sure you can see a pattern of Missguided, Penneys and H&M! I got most of the Missguided stuff on sale for so cheap it was great! If I could only shop in one place for the rest of my life it would definitely be Missguided - they have such a massive variation for all styles.

For makeup I kept it pretty basic each night, I used the Catrice matte shadow everynight along with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette to darken. White liner was my saviour the whole week. Lippy was mostly nudes also - I loved the Rimmel London Kate Nude. Here are a few makeup snaps each night.

So I hope I haven't bored you with the massive post, I know it was really long but I wanted to put it all into the one post. Be sure to let me know if you loved or hated my outfits and if you have any questions on any of it please just ask :)

Happy Shopping

August Beauty Faves

Morning Gorgeous!

Today I'm sharing some of my August Beauty faves - there are so many amazing products out there now it's hard to know what to try. I always try things that I've read great reviews about or something I see in store or online that looks nice - it's a lot of trial and error really. I have bought plenty of stuff that I'll never use again but also have awesome new finds that I love.

Beauty products can be generally quite expensive so if you think you'd like to try something that is a little more expensive than you usually pay then make sure and look up reviews online, there is nothing worse than forking out your hard earned cash and finding the product you've bought doesn't work or doesn't suit your skin type. Troll the Internet for as much info as possible! Everything in this post are bargain buys also so I hope you find something that interests you for a great price!

So my August faves are:

1. Loreal Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation - 13 Rose Beige - €12.99
This is a dupe for the Estée Lauder double wear and I don't know about any of you but I have never found a foundation with the coverage like Double wear - until now!! Especially not for only €12.99! Honestly if you invest in anything this month then get this - it is the ultimate bargain.
Bought from Boots

2. Kate for Rimmel Lipstick - 43 Rossetto - €6.99
I am a sucker for a nude Lippy and this is a great one. I adore this shade so much and it has great last.
Bought from Boots

3. Wet n Wild lip liner - 712 Willow - €1.99
These pencils are fab, some great colours and this one is perfect with my Kate lippy and such a bargain.
Bought from Penneys

4. Catrice Cosmetics Kohl Kajal eye liner - 040 White
I think everyone should have a white or nude liner, I never wear black on my water line anymore as the white just opens the eyes and I love this one. It lasts for ages too. I can't remember the price of this but I know its very cheap.
Bought from Penneys

5. Catrice Cosmetics Matte Shadow - 790 I Wear My Plum Glasses At Night
I absolutely adore a Matte shadow and this is fab - this colour is perfect for day wear on its own all over the lid or at night with some darker tones blended in with some liquid liner. Lasts all day or night and doesn't crease. Again with this one I can't remember the price of this but Catrice have the most reasonably priced make up out there at the minute so I know it wasn't expensive.
Bought from Penneys

So that is my list - what is on yours?

Happy Shopping ;)
