The Glorious Glasshouse

Morning Gorgeous!

So I figured I would write a wee review on our stay at The Glasshouse in Sligo, we stayed there 2 weeks ago for a girly night away and it was fab!

First - The Hotel

The hotel was gorgeous, very modern and beautifully decorated. Very quirky furniture which was cool! The rooms were nice - clean, spacious and most importantly had a full length mirror! (Don't even pretend that's not important to everyone!)

We had afternoon tea in the hotel, it only cost €10 each which was a serious bargain considering the amount of food we got, it was insane and SO delicious! We decided to get some bubbly to really make the most of the day, it was fab! The few is also worth mentioning - looking right over the river, just so gorgeous!

We had a few drinks in the bar then as it was lashing out, they had jazz music playing upstairs and the place was really busy! It is a really nice hotel to just sit and have a drink in and the staff were all really nice.
We chilled out in the room for a bit waiting for the rain to pass and figure out somewhere to go for dinner. The rain never stopped the whole day so we decided to just eat in the hotel for handiness. We were extremely glad we did as the food was DELICIOUS! They had a few parties on in the Restaurant so they couldn't take us but they let us sit in there and have bar food so it was great. We all enjoyed our meal - just really tasty food and I would definitely recommend it.

And Now - The Oufits

Day
I wanted to be well dressed going down since we were going for Afternoon Tea nearly as soon as we arrived so I opted for heels.

I got these shoes in Dunnes Stores a few weeks ago, I think they were €40. I love them! I seen the black version of them on SoSueMe and was delighted to find these as they are very Valentino inspired!
The top I picked up in Penneys, I was drawn to it for the colour and thought the neckline was very cute. Something a little different!
I threw on the white jeans as a last hurrah for Summer! That's them packed away now until next year so I wanted to get one more run out of them! :P

Top - Penneys
Jeans - River Island
Shoes - Dunnes Stores

Night
I picked up this shirt in H&M, I love shirts. Love love love them with everything so once I found this I knew what kind of skirt I wanted and luckily I found it in New Look! It is a suede material with an a line style and I love it! Of course paired with my trusty Public Desire laceups! Sorry not sorry.

Shirt - H&M
Necklace - H&M
Skirt - New Look
Shoes - Public Desire

So that's it!
I will be doing a post about my makeup routine soon as I have found lots of new products I like recently so any questions you want answered just ask and I will include it in the makeup post!

Happy Shopping

A/W feels.

Morning Gorgeous

I am fully embracing the Autumn/Winter weather, it is most definitely my favourite time of the year. I just ADORE all things cosy!

I have not done an outfit post in what feels like ages so here is a little quick post on this very Wintery outfit. I am so excited about Christmas this year, I am trying to figure out when it is acceptable to put my decorations up! Halloween needs to hurry up and be over!

So Mustard is my absolute favourite colour - if there is an item of clothing in Mustard then you bet your ass I'm going to buy it. I have always loved it and Autumn is the best time to break it out. The jeans are from River Island, I love them. They have the best jeans.

The coat - Oh the coat! I walked into River Island to buy a present for my sister and I literally could not leave the shop without it. I fell in love instantly and had to have it! It is leather with some suede panelling and it is amazing! The fur lines right down to the bottom, its so luxurious!

Jumper - Penneys
Shirt - H&M (Months ago)
Jeans - River Island - Molly
Boots - Penneys
Coat - River Island - Cream leather-look faux fur trench coat

Snapchat is taking over the world!

Morning Gorgeous!

So I have been sick for a whole week, been off work and just lying on the sofa. To say I was bored is a massive understatement. I relied on social media to keep me entertained throughout the week as there is only so much tv you can watch, the one I always check first is Snapchat.

Snapchat is quickly overtaking all other social media platforms and I am addicted! It's great to have celebrities on there so you get a little insight into their everyday lives and I guess it makes you realise they are just normal people like the rest of us!
I follow lots of bloggers on there as I love to see what everyone is up to and get a look first hand at fabulous events they are attending. I love seeing their days off also, I assume I'm not the only one who takes comfort in seeing glamorous people in their sweats an odd day?!

So naturally there is a few people that I just get very excited when they have a story up, especially this week when I've had NOTHING else to do and I know it can be hard to find people on snapchat as you need to have their exact name so I wanted to give you my little list of people that are my faves!

So I will give you my top 5 then a few extras that I like to watch too :)

Top 5
1. Lovelygirlybits
Karen is a beauty blogger and she is always my first watch. She is just something different entirely, I have so many laugh out loud moments and proper belly laughs at her snaps. She is serious craic, is so random and her sense of humour is positively wicked. Love love love her! She also makes up her own words and phrases and they are genius. When I think of Karen there are so many things that spring to mind - I think Pubicles, Pjs, Bailey (the cutest dog), Gee eyed, Downton Abbey, Bourjois mascara, coffee, chats and a seriously unnatural obsession with scarrves. Her snaps are just absolutely hilarious and if you don't follow her then you are seriously missing out. My boyfriend HATES that I'm constantly on Snapchat but he even enjoys Karen's ramblings.

2. Waxpertsellen
Ellen is a business woman. She owns Waxsperts which is a unique waxing brand that created its own special wax. Ellen has a salon herself and also stocks loads of other salons with her Waxperts wax. She is extremely successful and is only getting more successful every day. The thing about Ellen is, well firstly she's absolutely gorgeous, beautiful inside and out. She has stunning eyes and lips that give Angelina Jolie a run for her money! Secondly, she is probably the most genuine person you will ever watch on Snapchat. She holds nothing back and I would genuinely believe anything she told me. She just has a way about her, you immediately trust her and wise to do so. She is an amazing woman with the most beautiful son! Cooper is just the cutest - if I hear him say 'lovely day' once more I may actually explode! He is so adorable. He is probably the only child that I like seeing on Snapchat!

3. Rosemarymaccabe
Rosemary is the Deputy Editor at Stellar Magazine. I love Rosemary because she is not afraid to complain and if she ever were to read this I hope she is not insulted as this is meant entirely as a compliment! She will tell you everything - she doesn't only complain, that is absolutely not all she does! She also talks about things she loves and I find her so refreshing! She will tell you her honest opinion on anything and you can be sure as hell that she means what she's saying! Which is why when she complains about anything you know she's not holding back and it's always relatable and I always agree with her! She's great craic and you get lots of little insights into her job at the Magazine.

4. Jamespatrice
James is someone I have only very recently followed and I am obsessed already. He is a fashion blogger with a seriously funny sense of humour! The way he says 'Hiya' makes me so happy, the face he pulls, good Lord he is just so funny. He secretly films his mother also and honestly that poor woman is going to have a heart attack some day! He scares her constantly. Everything about him just entertains me. He also mimes to songs a lot and let me tell you now you have not lived until you've witnessed this. His facial expressions are just.... Too much. Love him!!

5. Facesbygrace23
Grace is a beauty blogger, she posts outfit pics also but she primarily a beauty expert. She works, from what I gather, part time for Bare Minerals in Liffey Valley. She also does freelance work such as makeup and spray tans. Grace is great because she posts lots of products as well as showing her go to faves. She is very down to earth and shares a lot with her followers. She suffers from anxiety and I can imagine hearing her talk about it so openly would be extremely comforting for anyone else who suffers from it. She seems like a very genuine girl and someone you could easily be best friends with, she's very bubbly and I adore her. She is not afraid to snap with no makeup on or when's she's just got up in the morning and it's nice to see all aspects of her life, not just the glamorous bits. Maybe that's just me being nosy but I like it!

Other faves that I love to see on Snapchat are -
Sosueme_ie
pippa.oconnor
Rosieconxxx
Sarah_ashcroft
Aislingmkeenan

I hope you enjoyed! Something a little different for a wee change!
Let me know who your fave Snapchatters are!

SoSueMe Workshop - What a Day!

Morning Gorgeous!

I just wanted to share with everyone all about the SoSueMe workshop she held in the Mt. Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny, I think everyone will agree with me when I say it is about time she came up this way! She had mentioned on her Snapchat that she had to expand this workshop as there was so many people wanting to go, she has such a massive following up this way! There was even people who travelled from Athlone and Sligo to go to it. Dedicated fans!

- OOTD -
I'll go through my outfit firstly from the day - I really loved this whole outfit and sure any excuse to get my holiday tanned legs out! :P Dylan actually told me he liked my outfit at the meet and greet at the end, naturally I was chuffed...... and a little flustered! Lol!

I decided to dress down for the event, I had a midi skirt and heels picked too and on the day I thought this was the better choice. It was casual but very stylish and I just love these boots so I am literally wearing them with everything!
The skirt is my favourite and it fits so perfectly, this is going to be perfect for Winter with tights and a polo neck. Love the little blouse too, I am a sucker for mustard so when I seen it on sale I had to have it!

Blouse - River Island - €25 (Reduced from €40)

Skirt - H&M - €24.99

Gilet - New Look - €44.99

Boots - Penneys - €25

- The Workshop -
The room was laid out beautifully and the excitement walking in and seeing the SoSueMe goodie bag at each seat!

So the tickets were €75 which is a lot of money but I just could not pass up the chance to go as I was devastated I couldn't go to the one she did in Sligo as that was the closest workshop until now. Sue is the first blogger I really started to follow so since my little blog is only a few months old I thought it was perfect timing to go see her. It was definitely worth every penny though as she packed so much into the day it actually ran over the time it was scheduled to end.
On the day she had nail technicians available to paint any shade of SOSU nail polish you wanted free of charge which I thought was a nice touch. I didn't get mine done as I had Gel polish on from holidays but one of the girls with us had hers done. She also sold her polishes for a little cheaper at the event so that was a definite plus! They were 3 for €20 and of course I had to buy the 3 - if you are following me on Snapchat you would have seen the colours I bought which were 'I do', 'Boss Bitch' and the Top Coat. I already have 'Icing on the Cake' which is a fab colour too. She had her Crownbrush brush set and her book on sale on the day too.

The event started just after 11 and kicked off with Sue talking about how she got into blogging. It was quite humbling to hear her full story told by the woman herself. She then went on to talk about how SoSueMe was born, where the name came from and gave some tips on running a successful blog. She was incredibly honest while she talked about all this which was great, I didn't feel like she was just telling us what we wanted to hear. She held absolutely nothing back and it was incredibly refreshing! She spoke like she was just having a chat with you in the pub, very informal and natural.

There was a makeup demo done by makeup artist Sinead Murphy and questions answered throughout the demo. Sue done a tan demo on stage using the St. Moriz tan which was great as I've never used this tan before but will definitely be trying it.

We had afternoon tea at 1pm for a hour and it was FAB - little dinky fancy teacups, finger sandwiches and lots of little sweet treats! It was gorgeous!

After lunch there was a female fitness talk from Rob Lipsett, a run down of Sue's AW nail polish collection, a talk through her Crownbrush set, a section about wardrobe staples for coats and jackets which I loved and a fabulous Fashion Show! The fashion show had lots of gorgeous outfits from River Island, Coast, Karen Millen, H&M and more. She had put together everyday outfits right through to night outfits and everything in between. There was some fab outfits and if you had been following my Snapchat I posted lots of videos and pictures of the outfits. Sue's sister Carla did a lot of the modelling for the fashion show and the wardrobe staples section. I am not afraid to admit that she has one fantastic behind on her and anyone who denies they noticed is blatantly lying! Haha! Definitely an ass that every girl wants! That family has some damn good genes!!

The day ended with a meet and greet where Sue was taking pictures, chatting and signing books. We all queued up to talk to her, we were exhausted so I can only imagine how she was feeling but she never let it show. She took the time to talk to everyone and take lots of pictures. While we were on stage getting pictures she was just the sweetest person, she is stunning in real life and so friendly. She complimented me on my boots and was keen to hear what our favourite part of the day was! Dylan was on hand to take photos also and can I just say how lovely he is! Honestly he was so nice, they are seriously the nicest couple ever. Dylan was also on the nail station selling polish and I can't think of many boyfriends who would do that, he even helped me decided which colours to get. I mean where the hell did she get this guy?! She is one very lucky lady. (As am I because my boyfriend is equally amazing of course! Haha!)

The goodie bag then contained a bottle of St. Moriz tan, a Flormar lipstick, a no7 product, 2 essence products and a Crownbrush brush.

So stupidly I forgot to save all the photos I put on Snapchat so I can't share them here but hopefully you were following me so you got a look at the whole day first hand as I snapped LOADS!

So that is my review of the workshop! Overall it is definitely worth the €75 as there was so much packed in to the day and I took lots of notes on products to buy so keep an eye out for any new products coming up for review on the blog! As soon as pay day comes around that is! :P

Happy Thursday!

Sun, Sea and Sangria!

Morning Gorgeous!

Happy Saturday Guys! I am still in a state of sadness that my holiday is over so in order to cling on to it for dear life I am going to tell you all about it and all my outfits for the week. So I hope you enjoy :)

I will tell you a bit about the place we went to first - it was called Lloret De Mar in Spain. It was about 2 hours outside of Barcelona. I really liked the area but probably would not go back as I feel like I seen everything there is to see as it is quite small. It had a beach, bars and restaurants which was all we were looking for as we were looking for relaxation but if you wanted a really active holiday you might have been quite bored.
The apartments we stayed in were called Apartmentos Condado and I would definitely not recommend it. The apartment itself was fine - basic but more than we needed really. The issue was that the staff were terrible, we had to buy our own loo roll (seriously) and we had to clean the place ourselves before we left and they never provided cleaning products so we had to buy them. The pool area was amazing though - it was a rooftop pool and it was just gorgeous. The only downfall for us was that there was no bar by the pool and I know that sounds typically Irish but imagine lying by the pool with a jazzy cocktail which was all we were really looking for. We ended up lying at the beach with cocktails instead which was actually amazing as the beach was FAB!
So all in all - it was a great week but I would not go back to the same place.

So that is enough boring talk - on to the outfits!
The best part about the apartment was that it had a massive full length mirror so there were lots of outfit pics taken! I will split it into Day outfits and Night outfits so be sure to tell me your favourite!

Day Time

 - Bikinis -
I took like 5 bikinis with me but I only wore my 3 favourites. I do that all the time when I go on holidays, I end up wearing the same thing that I love over and over.

Bikini 1 - Valley Girl - Australia
I got this a few years ago while in Australia and haven't really had the chance to wear it, I love the pattern and style of this and it has straps that can be removed which is great. It is extremely comfortable also which is always a plus.

Bikini 2 - Penneys
I picked this up a few weeks before the holidays in Penneys, I can't remember what price it was but it was under €20 for both the top and bottom which is a bargain for a decent bikini. This one has removable straps also and has the cutest frill around both the top and the bottoms. And what about that pattern!!

Bikini 3 - H&M
So this is my favourite one, it is so flattering for a smaller frame and smaller bust which is perfect for me. The tassels and the pattern are just everything!

Sunnies - H&M
Kimono - Boohoo (Last Year)
Sandals - Missguided
Hat - Penneys

- Outfits -

So these are a few of my day outfits when we were not lying on the beach or by the pool which was not very often!

#1

Shorts - Missguided
Sandals - Missguided

So that is all the day outfits done - they were very casual and simple, nothing too flashy. Also, I just want to point out the sandals I am wearing in every photo - they are from Missguided and I bought them last minute on sale and I literally never took them off the whole week. They are the most comfortable pair of sandals I have ever bought, we walked loads every day and there was not a blister in sight with these!

Night Time

So on to the night outfits - I didn't take any heels with me as I knew we were going to be doing a lot of walking at night also and I wanted to be comfortable. I took one pair of low chunky heels but I only wore them once when I knew we weren't going far. I think comfort is the most important thing in shoes while on holiday as you do so much walking.

So that is all my night outfits, I hope you like them! I'm sure you can see a pattern of Missguided, Penneys and H&M! I got most of the Missguided stuff on sale for so cheap it was great! If I could only shop in one place for the rest of my life it would definitely be Missguided - they have such a massive variation for all styles.

For makeup I kept it pretty basic each night, I used the Catrice matte shadow everynight along with the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette to darken. White liner was my saviour the whole week. Lippy was mostly nudes also - I loved the Rimmel London Kate Nude. Here are a few makeup snaps each night.

So I hope I haven't bored you with the massive post, I know it was really long but I wanted to put it all into the one post. Be sure to let me know if you loved or hated my outfits and if you have any questions on any of it please just ask :)
