What season is this?!

Morning Gorgeous!

Happy Tuesday for a change!

We're almost half way there, tomorrow is hump day! AND for most of you its a lovely long weekend, unfortunately not for me but I very am excited about Easter. (So excited in fact that I've already eaten half my eggs - sshhhhh!)

So today I am blogging my latest date night outfit, my boyfriend and I went for dinner and a movie on Friday and this is what I wore. We saw 'The Voices' in the cinema, it was the strangest but also the funniest movie!
I actually straightened my hair for a change too and I just hate it! Not fond of my hair straight anyway but thought it would be a nice change! It was a change alright but nothing nice about it! What is it with us women - never happy with our hair!

The weather has been funny this last while so I tried to find an outfit that was warm enough but kinda Summery - y'all know what I mean right?! You're wanting so much for it to be Summer so you can wear Summer clothes but its just not quite there yet! Yea so that can be quite difficult to do! So the duster coat is my new go to item this Spring/Summer/Winter - or whatever we are in right now!

I find this perfect for all weather, its quite light but the long sleeves keep you warm. I think I have 3 of them at the moment - this one, a black one and a khaki one. This one is for sure my favourite!

I wore my black high waisted trousers and paired them with a Summery sleeveless denim shirt and my Penney's nude heels. So again, unfortunately, my coat is now out of stock in Missguided - I got it on sale for only €21. Their sale items go so quick!

Shirt - Penney's €8
Trousers - Zizara Cuff Detail Trousers In Black
Shoes - Penney's €12
Coat - Missguided (Sold out)

Jewellery
Necklace and Bracelet - Penney's
Watch - River Island

So that is all for today folks, I have another outfit from the weekend I want to share so I will try and get a wee post up about that before the end of the week! Get me on Facebook or Instagram for daily updates!

The Coat Edit

Morning Gorgeous!

Happy Saturday!

Today I am blogging about this fabulous coat I got from Missguided, I spotted it when it first came out but it was €77 and I was not prepared to pay that for it at the time. €77 is not unreasonable for a good coat by any means but I already have so many coats I couldn't justify it.

But then!! Missguided did a flash sale 20 coats for £20 so I ended up getting it a few weeks later for only €28, DELIGHTED!

Also, I would like to apologise in advance for my dreadful hair in these pictures! I am getting it done shortly thankfully! It just would not cooperate this day and the wind certainly did not help!

So the day was really sunny but still quite cold so I went for a Summery look but kept the heat in with the coat. It is heavier than it looks which is perfect for the Spring weather here at the moment! The plans for the day were dinner with the family and a walk on the beach with the kids so this outfit was perfect for that.

I paired it with these white jeans and a pale pink cami. Keeping the pastel look makes its very Summery and the grey and pink in the coat looks awesome with the white jeans!

I wore a wee tasselled kimono type jacket over the pink cami for when I took the coat off as I felt the cami alone was a little bare as it was quite cold, this is from River Island and goes with everything! I love the print.

I finally got to wear my River Island white chunky sandals! I love these and they are super comfy! They are PERFECT for Summer and even more perfect with white jeans.

The jewellery is a mixture. I got the small pearl one in a set from New Look and the daisy is from River Island and I just layered them. I adore this daisy necklace, River Island have some gorgeous wee dainty pieces.

Coat: Unfortunately the coat is now sold out! Check out the Missguided range of coats though as they have some beautiful styles at the minute! I especially love these:

So that's all for today, I added some photos of the gorgeous beach we walked on. It is glorious when the sun shines! Check out my Instagram for daily updates!

Fancy Sundays.

Morning Gorgeous!

Happy Sunday! I had a very lazy day yesterday. Blogging, online shopping and watching Netflix in front of a fire - Absolute bliss! (Even though the sun was shining all day!) I hope today is as nice since I am actually leaving the house!

This outfit is from last Sunday, I just never got the chance to blog it during the week.

The Outfit

I LOVED this jacket as soon as I seen it online, so simple but so gorgeous. I just love the chain detail around the collar. It immediately dresses up any outfit, it felt it had kind of a Chanel look to it. I paired it with faux leather trousers for a bit of a contrast, a floral tee and my oxblood pointed boots (that I never take off these days, I even got the same ones in black!)

Coat: This is totally sold out on Missguided and I only got it last week, it was €42! Similar options below.
Khloe Oversized Premium Waterfall Coat Ivory
Mila Collarless Faux Fur Sleeve Tailored Coat Cream
Trousers: I got in New Look I think last year some time so I have listed similar options below:
Lidiar PU Button Front Trousers Black
BLACK SLIM LEATHER-LOOK TROUSERS
Top: Penny's

The Shoes

The shoes! Oh the shoes! I love these, they are one sale on Missguided for only €21! The colour is amazing and they are super comfy I just had to buy them in black as well!

Boots:Oxblood: Rose Buckle Ankle Boots Oxblood
Black: Rose Buckle Ankle Boots Black

The Bag

My hand bag was a Christmas present from my boyfriend, it is my absolute favourite. I love big bags and this is the perfect size and shape. If you have not already noticed I ADORE River Island bags! My Birthday is next month - hint hint ;) :P Link below!

Bag: BLACK SMART DETAIL TOTE BAG (The pattern is slightly different in the newer version)

So that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed the read. Check out my instagram for daily updates: https://instagram.com/lauralyle/

Simple Saturdays.

Morning Gorgeous...

Happy Sunday! I hope all the Mammies were spoiled today!

I have managed to find the time to write another blog post this weekend, delighted! I am loving doing this so much I just want to share every outfit! :)

This is my simple Saturday casual outfit. My boyfriend was off work so we had a lazy day planned, he watched the Rugby while I blogged. It was bliss! We decided to take a run to the shops for a nosey so I wanted to go relatively casual.

I wanted an excuse to wear my new jacket from New Look and this was the perfect opportunity! I love this so much, its so simple and the waterfall look is super trendy at the minute. This was only €45, it is quite a light jacket so it is perfect for an Irish Summer!

I paired it with my blue ripped skinnies and a white blouse. Simple but stylish. The handbag was an anniversary gift from my boyfriend last year, I just love the colour of it!

Waterfall Jacket: Stone Waterfall Duster Coat
BlouseWHITE WRAP FRONT BLOUSE
Jeans, I got in River Island. The exact style are no longer available as I got them before Christmas but here is a  similar pair: MID WASH DISTRESSED MOLLY JEGGINGS

Bag:
Here is the same bag but a different colour: WHITE AND SILVER BOXY BOWLER BAG
I just love the colour of this one: White yellow winged tote bag

I got the shoes recently in Penny's for only €8, I just love them!

The necklace is one of my favourite recent purchases! This cost just €3 in Penny's and is simply gorgeous! The new stacked necklace is very popular at the minute and I was over the moon to find this little beauty for such a great bargain! I love the pastel colours too, just perfect for Summer.

So that is all for today! I hope you enjoyed my casual Saturday style. Follow me on Instagram for daily updates: https://instagram.com/lauralyle/

Dapper on Date Night.

Morning Gorgeous...

Another Happy Saturday and the sun is shining!

So last night was date night! My boyfriend works Friday nights most weeks so we try to make the most of it when he is off! We decided to treat ourselves and go for dinner and drinks.
We had never been to this restaurant before and it is considered as 'fine dining' so I wanted to wear something quite classy - nothing with too much boob or leg showing! :P

I decided on this outfit straight away as I recently got a few new bits on the Missguided and Boohoo sales and they were a right bargain! I never fail to find something fabulous especially in the Missguided sale, they have a fabulous collection and the prices are unreal! The outfit, minus the shoes, cost just €44 in total. BARGAIN!

Sequin Jacket: I paid €9 on Boohoo for this and it is now sold out. I have listed similar ones here:
Bobbie Black Sequin Blazer
Here is a short sequin cape which is stunning! A little pricey at €53 but it really is gorgeous:

I love everything about this outfit. I think the sequined jacket just sets it off perfectly. I rolled the sleeves a bit to give it more structure. The crop top is a gorgeous colour, the pinks are just fabulous and go so well with the grey trousers. I wore a pink lipstick to match the pink in the top also.

My handbag I got while we were in Amsterdam, we went to a handbag museum (or I dragged my boyfriend there rather!) It was such a cool place and Stephen bought me this handbag for only €25. I LOVE it, its so unique!

My shoes of course are Public Desire and I literally never take them off! The strappy heel is super trendy right now and Public Desire have a great selection and very reasonably priced! These were only €42 and I am definitely getting my money's worth! Also they are very comfortable - which means endless hours on the dancefloor! Link below!
ALAIA BLACK SUEDE CUT OUT LACE UP HEEL

Well that is all from me today! I hope you enjoyed the read! I hope to get another post up before Saturday as I have shopped a few new bits recently and I have some beautiful outfits to post!

The return of the Culottes!

Morning Gorgeous...

Happy Saturday!

Today my bestie and I had a very fun day taking pics of my blog outfit. It was incredibly windy so lets just say we had more bloopers than beauty!! We had fun nonetheless - we had a great day lunching and shopping afterwards. A Saturday wouldn't be a Saturday without some girlie retail therapy!

So today's post is about the return of the Culottes! My mum remembers wearing these when she was younger and was surprised to hear they were back in fashion! I am devastated she didn't keep all of her wardrobe from then as I would have some serious fun going through it now!

I have styled the Culottes 2 ways. Dressed up and dressed down. These can be worn any way and look uber trendy! I never thought I would wear anything like these as I am a bit of a shortie! BUT I adore these and think they look great on! (Even though my boyfriend calls them circus pants - but what would he know eh!)

Dressed Up

These are from Missguided and are on sale so grab a pair quick! I have styled the 'going out' version with a beaut nude round neck body suit and my gorge suede heels. I love this look for a night on the town! Links for everything below!

If you are looking for something a little more Summery, check out this gorgeous dusky pink pair from Missguided also - I LOVE these!

Dressed Down

The 'day out' version I styled with simple long sleeved crops and the trusty black boots. For me this is a day with the girls outfit - something for lunch and cocktails. Links below for the tops. (Black boots are reallyyyy old but if you check out my very first blog post I have posted some black boots options there!)

Striped crop - I could not find this on the New Look website even though I only got it a few weeks ago but here are two similar options that would look gorge with the Culottes.

So I decided to post a few of the blooper photos also just because some of them are hilarious and we laughed so hard at them!! I hope they give you a laugh if nothing else!
